Senior Leadership Team

Mrs N Chandler

Hello! I am Mrs Nicola Chandler, the new Executive Headteacher of the Dedworth campus and substantive Headteacher of Dedworth Middle School. I am really excited to start this new challenge and to work closely with you all to make all children flourish in their Dedworth experience. I feel very honoured to be managing the Dedworth Campus, having been a pupil in both schools myself in the 1980’s, and I am therefore determined to secure an outstanding future for the schools and have every intention of ensuring we offer a top class education for all the pupils we serve.

I absolutely love my job and am passionate about education but outside of school I love spending time with my family. I have 2 children (14,11) which keep us busy and our favourite place in the world is Disney! I love to keep myself fit and pound the pavements very early in the morning and I also enjoy doing fitness classes, shopping and never say no to a Starbucks coffee! I really am delighted to be here and look forward to working closely with you all in the many years to come.

Mrs K North

I’m the Deputy Head. I’m also the Head of Art, teach Year 8 Art¸ and run the art club at lunchtimes.  You’ll sometimes find me teaching other subjects too such as RE, French or Maths. In the time I have been at Dedworth I have taught most subjects to all year groups. I am always on the playgrounds at break and lunch, so if I’m not teaching you that’s where you’ll find me. I support our Junior Leadership Team (JLT), made up of Year 8 pupils and we have been working hard over the past few years to reduce the amount of plastic in school. This year will see more collaboration with the School Council. When I’m not at school I enjoy crafting, my current project is making a quilted bag; reading, which I love, and rowing on the River Thames. I’m looking forward to seeing you all in September and beginning a new academic year with you.

C O'Don

Mrs C O’Donnell

I’m an Assistant Head at Dedworth Middle School. I teach Physical Education and Geography. I also like to get involved with as many sports clubs as I can. In the winter months you’ll often find me in the old gym running some gymnastics clubs and in the summer on the field training with the Athletics teams.  If I am not in the gym, then I’ll always be out on the playground on duty during lunch and break times.

My office is located in the Year 6 block above the viewing window in the Sports hall so you’ll often catch me having a sneaky peak at what’s going on in PE lessons if I am not teaching.

Outside of school I am often kept busy with my two young children. Together as a family we love going on long walks and bike rides. We spent most of our summer exploring different beaches in England and Ireland. If I get time for my own hobbies I love playing Netball and curling up with a good book.

I can’t wait to see you all in September and to welcome you back into school life.

K Bing

Mr K Bingham

I have been at Dedworth Middle School for 4 years and I’m the Assistant Head Teacher for Pastoral Care I also teach KS3 Science. You will see me dropping into lessons to see how you’re getting on and am usually on duty at break and lunch. Outside of school I have lots of hobbies and interests that include; football (Toon army!), Formula 1 (go Mclaren), running (not my favourite), gaming (might be my favourite), painting Warhammer models, mountain biking, golf, World War 2 history and reading (as a teacher you’d think I have to say this but it is true I promise). I work closely with our nurture team, behaviour mentors, SENDCo, Pastoral Leader and Heads of Year to make sure that all pupils get the best support we can offer and that our school rules (be ready, be kind, be safe) are observed and respected by everyone. I love coffee and biscuits, pastries, doughnuts etc and if you have done something exceptionally well I could be persuaded to share a hot chocolate and a biscuit with you (any dietary requirements must be supplied in advance). I am immensely proud to be a part of Dedworth Middle School it really is a fantastic place to work.
