Pastoral Team
Mr E O’Donnell |
I am the Pastoral Leader at Dedworth Middle School. I teach History and Geography to Year 7 and 8 pupils. I mainly teach my lessons in Jubilee 1. When I can I like to watch the school sports teams and referee football matches. At lunchtimes and breaktimes I can be found in the PLC or on the playgrounds. I am more than happy for you to come and find me if you have a problem or a worry. When I’m not at school I enjoy playing golf, watching a wide range of sports and spending time with my family. I’m looking forward to welcoming all pupils back to school and meeting all of the new Year 5 starters.

Mrs H Mitchell |
I am currently on maternity leave after having my second daughter who is a ‘lockdown’ baby. I will be returning in March 2021. When I am in school I am the SENDCo, I have been in the position for two years and previous to that I was a Year 5 teacher at DMS. When I am not in school I have my hands full with my 3 year old and 6 month old. I also love sewing, my current project is a quilted blanket; crochet, currently making a rainbow blanket that has been ongoing for about three years (a very slow project) and I enjoy Pilates. I look forward to seeing you all when I return.

Mrs E Pearson |
I am the SENDCo at Dedworth Middle school. As a SENDCo I look after all the children who have any specific educational needs and offer advice and support in the classroom as well as to parents. When I am not at work, I like to spend time with my husband, our 2 children, Jonas who is in Year 9 and Tula-Grace who is in Year 5 and our dog Ivy who is training to be a therapy dog. As we live in the country, we love to go on long walks together and have enjoyed exploring more over lockdown

Mrs C Farago |
I work in the Nurture Hub across all year groups helping children who may need support with their emotional and social wellbeing. |
Ms E Jerrard |
I work in our Pastoral Team as the Pastoral Manager. We do group and 1:1 behaviour mentoring when our children need it, do an on-call service for our classrooms, mindfulness, anger management, sessions for self-esteem and mental health, sports mentoring and generally working together with our children and families to help you all be happy at school! Outside school I do some Personal Training with women who want to get fit, I love cooking and I have 2 children and 2 dogs. I am really lucky too because I love my job! |
Mr S Donnelly |
I currently work in the Hub but also have many other responsibilities around school and I enjoy the challenge of every day being different. I joined Dedworth Middle School not too long ago but due to my role at the school I feel like I have got to know so many children already, and hope that they feel as though they know me too. Working with children on a one-to-one basis outside of the classroom enables me to encourage them to recognise their strengths and that is something that I aim to achieve each day with all the children I come across. As well as this, I am also a fan of many different sports and play football (semi-professionally). If anyone ever fancies a chat about anything sporty, I’m your guy! You can usually find me on the playground at break times and lunch times.
