Dedworth Middle School
Open Evening & Open Mornings 2023
We warmly invite you to Dedworth Middle School’s Open Evening on Thursday 28th September 2023.
The school will be open from 6.00pm to 8.30pm.
You are welcome to arrive from 5.45pm onwards. Please note that there is VERY limited parking on
site as it is a small car park and mostly taken up with staff cars. There is plenty of space in Smiths
Lane and nearby roads but please be mindful of residents. There will be a talk given by myself –
the Headteacher - in the School Hall at 6pm and then another identical talk at 7.15pm. This will
give you the flexibility of choosing a time to suit you and your son/daughter.
During the evening you will be able to tour the school. You will have the opportunity to see pupils at
work and the facilities that we have to offer. You will also have the chance to meet teachers in all
subject areas, learn about the ethos of the school and have any questions you may have about your
child’s middle school education answered.
We look forward to seeing you and your son/daughter at the Open Evening. If you are unable to
attend the Open Evening or wish in addition to see the school during the normal working day, we
have added Open Mornings to our programme again this year. These will take place on Tuesday
3rd October and Friday 6th October from 9.15 to 10.30 a.m. Tours will last approximately 45
minutes. There will be no formal speeches during the mornings but key members of staff and myself
will be here to answer any further questions you may have.

How to apply
For Year 5 entry in September 2024, borough residents are advised to apply on-line for a school place via the RBWM website. Please see the link for further information:
This portal closes on Monday 31st October 2023. (Any paper forms should not be sent to this school but direct to Borough Admissions.) RBWM will advise you of your allocated school on 1st March 2024.
