If a parent wants to make an in-year application for their child to join the school they should complete the In-Year Application Form below.  The following documents should be returned directly to Dedworth Middle School for the attention of the Admissions Co-ordinator or emailed to admissions@dedworthmiddle.co.uk  

• Birth Certificate/ passport of child
• Proof of address (this can be yours)
• If possible, your child’s latest school report

Applications for an in-year transfer can be made up to one term before the parent wishes the child to start at the school.

In-Year admissions will be considered in accordance with the number of places available at the school in the current school year and over-subscription criteria outlined above. Any places that become available will be filled in priority order from the existing waiting list and any current applications. Places must be taken up when offered and on the agreed start date.  If the place is declined, the child’s name will be removed from the waiting list.

Applications for In-year transfers starting at the beginning of the academic year can be made and will only be considered after the Easter holidays.

Fair access protocol

As part of the co-ordinated admissions arrangements with The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council the school may accept hard-to-place students onto the school roll from time to time in accordance with the In-Year Fair Access agreement.  This could mean a student being admitted ahead of the waiting list or in very exceptional circumstances even if the year group is full.
