Remote Learning
Remote Learning at Dedworth Middle School
Currently we have all lessons being taught at school loaded onto our online learning platform - Microsoft Teams. All pupils will be able to access the lessons their teachers have set via Teams. Pupils should be familiar with accessing Teams from previous home learning periods and from homework for some year groups.
In the short term, we will also continue with communicating with class teachers via Class Dojo if pupils have any questions or would like to submit work to teachers for feedback. If you are not set up on Class Dojo or you and your child do not have a log in, please contact your child’s class tutor via the school office on 01753860561 or an email marked for their attention via office@dedworthmiddle.co.uk.
We are going to be making some changes to the way pupils access learning from home if isolating as we would like all pupils to be able to login to their lesson via Teams. This will not be possible in some practical lessons but we are putting arrangements in place for as many lessons to be available via live streaming as possible. For this week and next, all remote learning arrangements will stay the same and communications and feedback will be via Class Dojo. We will be in touch shortly when logging on via Teams is set up and available for all pupils to access.
We are hoping that your child has brought home their Teams login – this should be found on stickers in the front of their diary. Please can we ask that all families download the Microsoft Teams application onto the devices that your child will be using if they need to access the live streaming. If this is not possible, pupils can still access Microsoft Teams and Office 365 through the web.
