Dedworth Middle School - Open Evening & Open Mornings 2025

We warmly invite you to Dedworth Middle School’s Open Evening on Tuesday 30^th September. The school will be open from 6.00pm to 8.30pm. This is for prospective year 5 pupils for September 2026 entry.

You are welcome to arrive from 5.45pm onwards. Please note that there is VERY limited parking on site as it is a small car park and mostly taken up with staff cars. There is plenty of space in Smiths Lane and nearby roads but please be mindful of residents. There will be a talk given by myself – the Headteacher - in the School Hall at 6pm and then another identical talk at 7.15pm. This will give you the flexibility of choosing a time to suit you and your son/daughter. Please book online your preferred time but be aware that places are limited and the talks will start very promptly and there will be no entry to the hall once started.

During the evening you will be able to tour the school before or after your presentation. You will have the opportunity to see pupils at work and the facilities that we have to offer. You will also have the chance to meet teachers in all subject areas, learn about the ethos of the school and have any questions you may have about your child’s middle school education answered.

We look forward to seeing you and your son/daughter at the Open Evening. If you are unable to attend the Open Evening or wish in addition to see the school during the normal working day, we have added Open Mornings to our programme again this year. These will take place on Friday 3^rd October, Tuesday 7^th October and Thursday 9^th October from 9.15 to 10.30 a.m. Tours will last approximately 45 minutes. There will be no formal speeches during the mornings but key members of staff and myself will be here to answer any further questions you may have.

For your information, borough residents must apply on-line for a school place via the RBWM website. Please see the link for further information:  LINK  This portal closes on Thursday 31st October 2025. RBWM will advise you of your allocated school on 2^nd March 2026.

How to Apply

Applications for school admission in September 2026 should be made through the online portal, from 9 September to 31 October. 

Application Forms should not be sent directly to school but direct to Borough Admissions. RBWM will advise you of your allocated school on 02 March 2026.
